The Fig Leaf Insurance Agency was founded understanding and determined to provide consumers with an alternative to the

The Fig Leaf Insurance Agency’s ownership is comprised of 4 individuals, all of whom grew up only miles from our new
office. Bryan Tomko is the Managing Director and a resident of Linden; Burke Gutkowski is the President of Sales
and Marketing and a resident of Rahway; Benjamin Sheedy is a Vice President and a resident of Elizabeth; and Michael
Favor is a Vice President and until recently, a Linden resident. Bryan and Burke learned an important lesson while
working on the NYSE that translates well into any industry and that is, “Your word is your bond.” We believe that if
you can’t stand by what you say, then regardless of the products you offer, your client base will suffer. As a

Bryan Tomko: Bryan graduated Linden High School in 1996 went on to a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from Kean
University in 2000, and followed with a Master’s degree in Political Science from Rutgers University in 2001.
In 2004 Bryan was responsible for all Compliance related conduct and became one of the youngest Members
of the New York Stock Exchange. Bryan is a Member of the Board of Education in Linden. He is married to
Magdalena, and is currently expecting his first child.

Burke Gutkowski: Burke graduated Linden High School in 1995 and went on to a Bachelor’s of Science Degree
from Rowan University in 1999. He immediately started working on the New York Stock Exchange and worked his
way to Senior Head Clerk, running the floor operations for his employer. Burke is USA Weightlifting Certified
and during his spare time enjoys training High School, College and Professional Athletes for his family’s
business, Burke Spencer USA. He is currently engaged to Adriana Hordynsky, a local Veterinarian and former
resident of Union NJ.

Paulo Lemos: Paulo is the Director of Regulatory Affairs for the Fig Leaf Insurance Agency and has over
25 years of experience teaching and acting as an Insurance Producer. He is a State Certified Instructor for
the New Jersey PAIP/CAIP, Life, Health, Property & Casualty Insurance, Pre-Licensing and Continuing Education
as well as an instructor for various Financial Examinations. He currently is contracted with 6 different
Insurance related Schools and is also a regular at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Benjamin Sheedy: Benjamin Sheedy graduated Roselle Catholic High School in 1995 and went on to attend
St. Peters College in Jersey City. Benjamin’s background includes an extensive knowledge of
Construction, Emergency Services, Public Safety and Finance. He is a valued member of our staff and acts in
an advisory role concerning risk management.
